And just like that, I was feeling better. Not 100% by any means, but better.
The day started, with sunshine, and just an all around beautiful spring morning. We had our neighbors come by, new neighbors, or atleast the carpenter for the neighbors. The building next to us was recently purchased, in March actually, and we saw the first signs of life. I went out and chatted with them and got the low down on what was happening. We will have employee housing next to us, so lets see how that goes.
The fire inspection man came back today, since he is helping us put up another emergency exit sign. Our neighbor Yuki came over to translate for us, and then the fire department was called for more clarification on where the sign can go exactly, and then before we know it, we had a whole party going on with 6 firefighters rolling up, so it was 6 plus 2, plus denise and I , for a party of ten, deciding where we could put our sign. End of the story, it gets to go exactly where we want it to go.
We went in to town today to set up our corporate bank account, or atleast attempt to. It is a difficult process for foreigners to do this, in the first year of their residence, but we went with the most friendly bank for that process, and the meeting went well. We will hear back in the next couple weeks if that was successful, so fingers crossed that it is.
And finially today ended with a pizza party, and we had Yuki and her daughters over, and Ryota over as well. We cheffed up a bunch of pizzas, well I mostly ate, and everyone else cheffed up pizza, and it was a good time. Yuki and the girls went home, and then Ryota and I got down on some art. It has been sick seeing him hype out on it, and just an all around good feeling getting people back into it. I really appreciate being here in japan, there has been like less of the self conscious feeling, I often see people having in the west, where they are kinda paralyzed but their insecurity, or their pride, or whatever it is, and can't just relax and enjoy the creation.
All in all, a gooood day.
